Hands on DC Announces 2007 Platinum Sponsors

Washington, DC, Mar. 27, 2007 Hands on DC Hands (HoDC), an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization that conducts an annual, citywide work-a-thon to improve and refurbish Washington, DC public schools, is proud to announce Service Corps and Sprint Nextel as Platinum Sponsors of this year’s event, scheduled for April 28, 2007.

As Platinum Sponsors, Service Corps and Sprint have each graciously donated at least $10,000 to this year’s work-a-thon. Their generous contributions will help organize the event, purchase supplies used by volunteers on the day of the work-a-thon, and provide scholarship funds to students in Washington, DC public schools. Hands on DC would like to thank Service Corps and Sprint for their generosity and commitment to building better schools and brighter futures for the youth of Washington, DC.

Service Corps consists of The Advisory Board Company and the Corporate Executive Board. The Advisory Board is a membership of 2,500 of the country's largest and most progressive health systems and medical centers. It provides best practices research and analysis to the health care industry, focusing on business strategy, operations and general management issues. The Corporate Executive Board provides best practices research, decision support tools, and executive education to its membership of over 2,200 of the world's leading corporations and not-for-profit institutions.

Sprint Nextel is a communication company offering various wireless and wireline communications products and services for individuals and businesses. Headquartered in Reston, Virginia, Sprint Nextel believes strongly in community engagement and has a long history of service in the communities where its employees and customers live and work.
